Obverse : N (Negapatnam) above the VOC monogram within beaded circle.
Reverse : Thamil legend NAKa /PaDDa / NaM in three lines enclosed in a dotted circle or ellipse.

The obverse monogram upper coin has the standard OC which is interchanged on the lower coin which also has a more slanted N. The upper left character on the reverse of the upper coin appears different.

The coin was scanned at 600 dpi and displayed at 500 dpi. It was obtained in 2002 March from a dealer in US who kindly allowed me to select varieties from part of a hoard of coins from South India.
