A small copper One Cash coin issued in Travancore, South India by Rama Varma VI(1885-1924). The Star with 8 points surrounds a Sankha (Conch Shell).
A thinner and lighter (0.48 gms) version of the same coin was issued in Travancore by Bala Rama Vara II ND(1928-1949) and listed in Krause as KM#57.
I thank Jan Lingen for the identification of this coin on SACG, and Pankaj Tandon for correct orientation of obverse.
The coin was scanned at 600 dpi and displayed at 600 dpi. It was obtained in 2009 June from a dealer south of Colombo who had about 10 of these small copper coins he had obtained from an old time collector.
