A copper play Machine tokens issued by Samson Novelty Co. of Holborn, Greater London. The token is slightly larger than a British farthin coin (20 mm) which was in use in the 1930's.

Obverse : SAMSON NOVELTY Co above and HOLBORN below with diamond on either side along the periphery within dash circle inside raised rim.
Reverse : GOOD FOR FREE PLAY ON MACHINE clockwise along the periphery within dash circle, with diamond below.

This is probably older than the other Samson Novelty Co token also found in Lanka.

The token was scanned at 600dpi and the images are displayed at 300 dpi. This token was obtained in the 2005 May from a dealer in Colombo Fort, Lanka.
