In 2005, Rs1000/- worth was packed in large polythene bags with a
Light Yellow paper label encased on top with SRI LANKA - 1 RUPEE - 1000
Pieces - ### in 4 lines.
A small white paper sticker gave total weight, Date and time of production
with operator and consec number ###.
In 2009 Printed in Black on the polythene pack was
SRI LANKA - 1 RUPEE - 1000 Pieces in 3 lines.
It is smaller in both size and weight than both the older 1 rupee coin
at 25.4 mm and 7.13 grams and current 50 cent coins at 21.5 mm and
5.51 grams.

The 2013 Mintage of 146.4 Million excludes the 3.6 Million coins with same year minted previously in Finland.
