SRI LANKA - TwentyFive Cents
A definitive decimal currency TwentyFive cent copper plated Steel coin with a plain edge first issued 2005 December 14th. It was to circulate along side the older Cupro-Nickel coin and Nickel Plated Steel coin which remained legal tender.

Obverse : The Armorial Ensign of Sri Lanka
Reverse : The large numeral 25 with value TWENTY FIVE CENTS in Sinhala, Tamil and English below and year of issue at the bottom within a circle of the traditional Sinhala Liyavela art with Sri Lanka in Sinhala on top.

The same diameter but 30% thinner than the current aluminum
0.70 gram 1 cent coin
which was last minted in 1994 and had not circulated for a long time
by 2005.
