Traditional design of Lanka standing King Type copper massa of the
Jaffna Arya Chakravartis circ 1462-1597, of Codrington
SETU type II(1).
Obverse : Standing king; head an oval open to right with crown
consisting two short lines and dot ; Under right arm hanging lamp
symbol with (d) upward lines three on left and two on right. Dhoti
shorter and noline between legs. On right tall fire-alter or standing
lamp the upright of which has (d) cross piece with dot above and
below. To right of this lamp a verticle like a mace ending in a ball at either extreame,
All in a line circle with dots outside.

Reverse : Bull couchant facing left. Crescent and sun above. Tamil legend
SETU below ; large kombu. To right and left of bull a groups
of three dots.
