The Pali phrase Yunjatha BuddhaSaasane means a "A Society that acts Righteously on Buddhist Philosophy".
The Dharmachakra may have 8, 12, 16, 24 or 32 spokes representing different aspects of the Buddha's Wheel of Dharma. The 24 appears on the original Ashoka Lion Piller from Sarnath.
The Rs 10 coin was schedule to be issued to circulation in 2011 June, but was finally issued by CBSL on 2011 July 18th, after allowing time for the Buddha Sasana Ministry which proposed the coin to issue it first. This did not happen. The ministry had been annoyed that the Rs1000/- was not issued at their ceremony in Anuradhapura.
The coin was obtained from CBSL in 2011 July 18th and scanned
at 600 dpi and the images are displayed at 254 dpi.
