Obverse : Monogram K. D. & Co. within a beaded circle inside raised rim.
Reverse : Countermarked D incuse on tortoise facing left. within a beaded circle inside raised rim.

Pridmore catalogs the incuse D countermark is below the tortoise.
However this specimen and another illustrated in 1994 Taisei Baldwin Gillio Auction of the Dick Ford collection(Lot#277) gives an additional variety with incuse countermark D on tortoise.
