1877 - Maddema Mills

A white metal (tin) token, issued by Sabonadière & Co., with nominal value, 18¾ cents for use in the Maddema Mills situated at Slave Island, Colombo. These tokens disappeared from use in the coffee crisis of 1884 and the mills passed to the ownership of Messrs. Cumberbatch & Co.
