Koenecke & Ditz

A USA Five Cents Merchant Trade token from Herman Koenecke & William M. Ditz Billiards (1917-1940) in Ceylon, Martin County, Minnesota. In the early days of Pool halls there was always a Barber's chair and Bar. Koenecke was the Barber and Ditz was the Saloon keeper.

Obverse : Name KOENECKE & DITZ above and town CEYLON, MINN. below along periphery of central hole, all within circle of dots. Reverse : GOOD FOR 5 ¢ IN TRADE above central hole along the periphery, all within circle of dashes.

The token was imaged at about 400 dpi and the images are displayed at 250 dpi. The image of token which was won by Shiran Cruse in 2009 January on ebay from a seller from MN, USA was unfortunately lost in mail. If this token as imaged is found for Sale please report it.
