This Inscribed Lead token found in Akurugoda from the collection of Raja Wickramsinghe who published in 1999 book with Osmund Bopearachchi titled Ruhuna. An Ancient Civilization Re-visited .

Reverse : Legend in Brahmi -

RajaW had described coin as Standing Elephant facing left with tusks (crude). The tusks have to be imagined and the an extremely crude elephant is not typical of artistic style seen in other tokens. When Looked at rotated 180o as shown the flat bottom with radial spokes indicative of a crown

The specimen was scanned at 600 dpi and displayed at 400 dpi.
It was obtained in 2016 May from Lalith Raddella in Colombo who had purchased a selection from Raja Wickramasinghe.
