This Inscribed Lead token found in Akurugoda is Plate Specimen F.4. illustrated in 1999 book by Osmund Bopearachchi and Rajah Wickramasinhe Ruhuna. An Ancient Civilization Re-visited .

Obverse : Elephant to right standing on hind legs with trunk up. Ground-line defined by Clump of grass. Some indistinct brahami text above and behind.
Reverse : Floral design with eight large petals and eight smaller petals in between them, around two concentric circles at center.

OBRW appears not to have recognized the clump of grass defining the ground line.

The specimen was scanned at 600 dpi and displayed at 400 dpi.
It was obtained in 2016 May from Lalith Raddella in Colombo who had purchased a selection from Raja Wickramasinghe.
