This Inscribed Lead token found in Akurugoda is Plate Specimen F.13. illustrated in 1999 book by Osmund Bopearachchi and Rajah Wickramasinhe Ruhuna. An Ancient Civilization Re-visited .

Obverse : Horse galloping to right. Indistinct Brahmi characters around.
Reverse : Geometrical floral design. Eight petals around central dot within two concentric annuli. Clockwise leaves in inner and triangular teeth pointing out in outer. All within bead circle along rim.

The coloured Artwork of Horse; a realistic representation of the stylised drawing on coin, is by Wildlife Artist Sanjaya Weeratunge.

The specimen was scanned at 600 dpi and displayed at 400 dpi.
It was obtained in 2016 May from Lalith Raddella in Colombo who had purchased a selection from Raja Wickramasinghe.

Plate Image of F13 in OBRW and size matches specimen. But Line Drawing and Weight of 4.14 grams does not match published Weight of 2.11 grams.
Obv: Horse prancing to right has hind legs back.
