This Inscribed Lead token found in Akurugoda is Plate Specimen E.11 illustrated in 1999 book by Osmund Bopearachchi and Rajah Wickramasinhe Ruhuna. An Ancient Civilization Re-visited .

Obverse : A lion passant to right, within a partly visible circle of dots on Border.
Reverse : Indistinct Legend in Brahmi between two plain rings, around a floral design with Eight petals with Eight dots between them and a large dot within plain circle at center.

The coloured Artwork of Lioness; a realistic representation of the figure on the coin, is by Wildlife Artist Sanjaya Weeratunge.

The specimen was scanned at 600 dpi and displayed at 300 dpi.
It was obtained in 2016 May from Lalith Raddella in Colombo who had purchased a selection from Raja Wickramasinghe.
